Clinical Supervisor - Shauna Paynter

Shauna Paynter is the dedicated owner and clinical supervisor of Safe & Sound Therapeutics Inc., as well as managing the training of new clinicians. With over a decade in therapeutic practice and more than fifteen years in education focusing on Transpersonal aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Training, she brings a wealth of experience to her work.

She obtained her Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, California, which adds depth to her therapeutic techniques. She was blessed to have Dr. Natalie Rogers as her supervisor during her transpersonal education. Her education began in the sciences with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia.

Always eager to expand her knowledge, Shauna pursued high school teacher education at the University of Victoria, earning an additional professional degree. Her approach in both teaching and therapy is grounded in humanistic principles, and she emphasizes growth and development in her clinical supervision role.

Shauna is furthering her education by working on her PhD in Transpersonal Psychology, a testament to her commitment to continuous learning and her field. Her dual expertise in therapy and teaching allows her to effectively support her students and clients on their paths to self-improvement and meaningful change. She’s passionate about teaching, helping people forge their paths, and fiercely live their truth.
