You are a flower in the garden of humanity.
This is one of the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh that I use regularly. By looking at myself as a flower, there are many insights I have gleaned from this, including how to be solid in my personal convictions and walking through my day as "peace". I learned to take time to cultivate my seeds of joy and offer tenderness and nourishment to myself in order to flourish.
In these current difficult times, I'm finding how important it is to take time out to rest, meditate, and replenish my spirit. To become fresh again, child-like and new.
The world needs our freshness right now more than ever.
Like patient gardeners we need to treat to ourselves with tender care if we desire to live in full bloom.
"Mindfulness allows you to live deeply every moment that is given you to live".
-Thich Nhat Hanh
