As more and more professional groups are aware of compassion fatigue, there is more of a push for those that feel overwhelmed to seek help. As per the article on Psychology Today, one can counteract the fatigue by participating in regular exercise, eating healthy, prioritizing rest and sleep and seeking professional help such as a counsellor.
Other strategies that can be utilized are mindfulness, mediation, yoga, spending time with loved ones, spending time in nature and participating in hobbies outside of work.
